Narbis Limited Warranty

The 12 month hardware warranty, what it covers, and how to make a claim.

Effective 1 September 2026Last updated 1 October 2026

1. Who gives this warranty and to whom#

1.1 This Limited Warranty is given by Narbis, Corp., a Delaware corporation ("Narbis", "we", "us" or "our").

1.2 It is given to the original purchaser of new Narbis hardware bought from the Narbis online store at narbis.shop or from an authorized Narbis reseller. It is not transferable to a later owner, and it does not cover hardware bought secondhand.

1.3 It applies to the Smart Glasses, Edge, the Edge sensor kit, the Narbis ear clip and Narbis branded accessories, together the Hardware.

1.4 Hardware supplied for use in a professional practice may instead be covered by the appendix titled "Practitioner Hardware Warranty" to the Narbis Practitioner Terms, which addresses multi unit deployments, loaner units and service levels. Where that appendix applies to your purchase, it controls and this document does not.

1.5 Edge is certified and sold in the United States and Canada only. We warrant Edge in those two countries. If an Edge unit is taken outside the United States and Canada, we may not be able to service it, and this warranty does not cover service, shipping or replacement outside the territory in which the unit was sold.

1.6 Narbis has accepted no new sales in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland since 1 October 2026, and this warranty continues to be honored in full for anyone who bought in one of those territories before that date.

2. What we warrant#

2.1 Narbis warrants that the Hardware will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use for 12 months from the date the Hardware is delivered to you.

2.2 Delivery date means the date the carrier records delivery. If you cannot show a delivery date, we use the date of purchase plus a reasonable shipping allowance. Keep your order confirmation, since it is the simplest proof.

2.3 If a defect covered by this warranty appears within the warranty period and you notify us within that period, we will provide the remedy described in the section on our remedy.

2.4 This warranty covers the Hardware. It does not cover the performance, results or outcomes of training. Narbis products are wellness tools and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. They are not medical devices and are not FDA cleared. We do not warrant that use of the Hardware will produce any particular result.

3. What is covered#

3.1 Failure of the electrochromic lens assembly to tint or clear under normal use.

3.2 Failure of the EEG or PPG sensing electronics, the on board processor, the wireless radio or the internal wiring.

3.3 Failure of the battery to hold a charge, where the failure is a manufacturing defect rather than the ordinary capacity loss described in the exclusions.

3.4 Failure of the charging port, the power circuitry or a supplied charging cable.

3.5 Frame, hinge, temple or housing failure that occurs under normal wear rather than from impact, force or misuse.

3.6 Manufacturing faults in the Narbis ear clip and in Narbis branded accessories supplied with the Hardware.

4. What is not covered#

This warranty does not cover:

4.1 Normal wear. Cosmetic scratches, scuffs, discoloration, worn coatings, loosened fit from repeated adjustment, and the gradual loss of battery capacity that every rechargeable battery shows over time.

4.2 Consumables and wear parts. Electrode gel and paste, adhesive pads, ear tips, nose pads, cushions, straps and similar items intended to be replaced periodically.

4.3 Accidental damage. Drops, impact, crushing, bending, sitting on the Hardware, pets, and damage from being carried loose in a bag.

4.4 Liquid damage. Immersion, spills, sweat ingress beyond normal use, steam, and use in a sauna, shower, pool or similar environment.

4.5 Misuse or abuse. Use outside the instructions and warnings in the Narbis Hardware Warnings and Safety Information document, use with incompatible equipment, use with a non approved charger or power supply, and use in conditions of extreme heat, cold or humidity.

4.6 Unauthorized repair or modification. Opening the housing, removing or defeating a seal or fastener, replacing a component, altering firmware or having the Hardware serviced by anyone other than Narbis or a service provider we have authorized. Any of these voids this warranty for the affected unit.

4.7 Third party sensors. Compatible third party devices such as the Polar H10, Polar H9, Polar Verity Sense and COOSPO HW807 heart rate sensors, and the Muse 2 and Muse S EEG headbands, are covered by their own manufacturers' warranties, not by this one, even when they were bought in a Narbis bundle. Keep your proof of purchase and contact that manufacturer for a warranty claim on their device. We will help you identify whether a problem is with our Hardware or with the third party sensor. Those devices are also subject to their own manufacturer's minimum age requirement, which may be higher than the Narbis minimum age, and where it is higher, that higher age applies to use of that device: see the Narbis Hardware Warnings and Safety Information document before a minor uses one.

4.8 Software. See the section on software below.

4.9 Loss and theft, and any unit whose serial number has been removed, defaced or altered.

4.10 Hardware bought secondhand, bought from an unauthorized seller, or supplied as a sample, demonstration or promotional unit unless we stated otherwise in writing.

4.11 Cosmetic or fit preferences. If the Hardware works but does not suit you, that is a return question within the first 30 days. See the Narbis Thirty Day Return Policy.

4.12 Damage caused by a power surge, by lightning, or by any cause external to the Hardware.

5. Our remedy#

5.1 If a valid claim is made within the warranty period, Narbis will, at its option: repair the Hardware using new or refurbished parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability; replace the Hardware with a new or refurbished unit that is equivalent to new; or refund the original purchase price of the Hardware.

5.2 We choose the remedy. Where we can, we will tell you what we plan to do before we do it.

5.3 A replacement unit or a repaired unit is covered for the remainder of the original 12 month period, or for 90 days from the date we ship it back to you, whichever is longer.

5.4 A replaced unit becomes the property of Narbis. A replacement part removed during repair becomes the property of Narbis.

5.5 We are not able to preserve settings, session history or other data stored on a unit during repair or replacement. Sync or export what you want to keep before you send Hardware in. See the Narbis Privacy Policy for how data held in your account is handled.

5.6 This is your exclusive remedy for a breach of this warranty. If repair, replacement and refund all fail of their essential purpose, you are entitled to a refund of the purchase price.

6. How to make a claim#

6.1 Email info@narbis.com during the warranty period with:

  • your order number or other proof of purchase;
  • the serial number of the unit where you can find it;
  • a description of the problem, when it started and what you have already tried;
  • a photo or a short video where the problem can be seen.

6.2 We will try to resolve the problem remotely first. Many faults turn out to be pairing, firmware or charging issues that are fixed in a message or two.

6.3 If the unit needs to come back to us, we issue a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and send you the return instructions, including the address to ship to. The service destination is issued with the RMA and is not published in this or any other Narbis document.

6.4 Do not ship anything to us without an RMA. An unauthorized shipment cannot be matched to your claim and may be refused.

6.5 Shipping for warranty service:

  • Within the first 30 days after delivery, and for a unit that arrived damaged or defective, Narbis pays shipping both ways. See the Narbis Thirty Day Return Policy.
  • After the first 30 days and within the warranty period, you pay to send the unit to us and Narbis pays to send the repaired or replacement unit back to you, within the country of purchase.
  • For international service, we will tell you what is possible before you ship anything. You are responsible for any duty, import tax or brokerage charge raised in your own country, and paperwork matters, so please follow the RMA instructions.

6.6 Pack the unit so it survives the trip and use a trackable service. The unit is at your risk until it reaches us.

6.7 If we inspect a unit and find that the problem is not covered, we tell you before doing any work, and we quote any repair cost so that you can accept it or ask for the unit back.

6.8 Typical turnaround is 10 to 15 business days from our receipt of the unit, plus shipping. We will tell you if a claim will take longer.

7. Software is not covered by this warranty#

7.1 This warranty covers Hardware only.

7.2 The Narbis apps, firmware and platform software are licensed, not sold, and are provided under the Narbis End User License Agreement. Any warranty, disclaimer or support commitment relating to software is in that document.

7.3 We do not warrant that the software will be uninterrupted or error free, or that it will be compatible with every phone, tablet, computer or operating system version, now or in the future.

8. Disclaimer of other warranties#

8.1 EXCEPT FOR THE EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY STATED IN THIS DOCUMENT, THE HARDWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", AND NARBIS MAKES NO OTHER WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE.

8.2 TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NARBIS DISCLAIMS ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, QUIET ENJOYMENT, ACCURACY AND NON INFRINGEMENT, AND ANY WARRANTY ARISING FROM A COURSE OF DEALING, A COURSE OF PERFORMANCE OR A USAGE OF TRADE.

8.3 NARBIS DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE HARDWARE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS, THAT IT WILL OPERATE WITHOUT INTERRUPTION, OR THAT ANY DEFECT WILL BE CORRECTED OTHER THAN AS STATED IN THIS DOCUMENT.

8.4 NO NARBIS EMPLOYEE, RESELLER, AGENT OR OTHER PERSON IS AUTHORIZED TO MAKE ANY MODIFICATION, EXTENSION OR ADDITION TO THIS WARRANTY.

8.5 REQUIRED CARVE OUT. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF IMPLIED WARRANTIES, OR DO NOT ALLOW LIMITATIONS ON HOW LONG AN IMPLIED WARRANTY LASTS, SO THE EXCLUSIONS AND LIMITATIONS IN THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. WHERE AN IMPLIED WARRANTY CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED, IT IS LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE 12 MONTH WARRANTY PERIOD STATED ABOVE, OR TO THE SHORTEST PERIOD PERMITTED BY LAW IF THAT PERIOD IS LONGER. THIS WARRANTY GIVES YOU SPECIFIC LEGAL RIGHTS, AND YOU MAY ALSO HAVE OTHER RIGHTS THAT VARY BY STATE, PROVINCE OR COUNTRY.

9. Your statutory rights are preserved#

9.1 This warranty is given in addition to, and does not affect, any right you have under the consumer protection law of the country, state or province where you live.

9.2 The paragraphs below that address consumers in the European Union, the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom are retained deliberately, because they continue to apply to customers who bought before 1 October 2026, which is the date from which Narbis stopped selling in those territories and in Switzerland.

9.3 Consumers in the European Union and the European Economic Area have a statutory guarantee of conformity from the seller, generally for at least two years from delivery, under the EU rules on the sale of goods. This Limited Warranty is a commercial guarantee that sits on top of that right and does not reduce it.

9.4 Consumers in the United Kingdom have rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, including that goods must be of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described, together with the remedies that Act provides. This Limited Warranty does not affect those rights.

9.5 Consumers in Canada have rights under provincial consumer protection and sale of goods legislation, including implied conditions and warranties that cannot be contracted out of in some provinces. Those rights are preserved.

9.6 Consumers in the United States may have rights under the Magnuson Moss Warranty Act and under state law, including implied warranties that some states do not permit to be excluded. Those rights are preserved. This is a limited warranty.

9.7 Consumers in Australia and in other jurisdictions with mandatory consumer guarantees keep those guarantees in full.

9.8 If you bought from an authorized reseller, your statutory rights are usually exercised against that seller. We will still help, and you may make a claim under this warranty directly to us.

10. Limitation of liability#

10.1 TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NARBIS IS NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE HARDWARE OR THIS WARRANTY, INCLUDING LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF USE, LOSS OF SESSION HISTORY, LOSS OF PROFITS AND THE COST OF SUBSTITUTE EQUIPMENT, WHETHER THE CLAIM IS BROUGHT IN CONTRACT, TORT, STRICT LIABILITY, WARRANTY OR ANY OTHER THEORY, AND EVEN IF WE HAVE BEEN ADVISED THAT SUCH DAMAGES ARE POSSIBLE.

10.2 TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE TOTAL LIABILITY OF NARBIS UNDER THIS WARRANTY IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU ACTUALLY PAID FOR THE HARDWARE GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM.

10.3 NOTHING IN THIS WARRANTY EXCLUDES OR LIMITS LIABILITY FOR DEATH OR PERSONAL INJURY CAUSED BY NEGLIGENCE, FOR FRAUD OR FRAUDULENT MISREPRESENTATION, OR FOR ANY OTHER LIABILITY THAT CANNOT LAWFULLY BE EXCLUDED. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OR LIMITATION OF INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THIS SECTION MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU IN FULL.

11. Governing law and disputes#

11.1 This Limited Warranty is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict of laws principles.

11.2 For any matter not subject to arbitration, the state and federal courts located in the State of Delaware have jurisdiction. The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods does not apply and is expressly excluded.

11.3 Disputes are otherwise resolved as described in the dispute resolution section of the Narbis Terms of Sale, including binding individual arbitration, the class action waiver and the 30 day opt out exercisable by email to info@narbis.com.

11.4 If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protections of the country where you live are expressly preserved and prevail over this section on any point of mandatory law.

  • Narbis Terms of Sale, for the purchase itself, pricing, shipping and dispute resolution.
  • Narbis Thirty Day Return Policy, for changing your mind and for a unit that arrives damaged or defective.
  • Narbis Hardware Warnings and Safety Information, for the use conditions that this warranty assumes.
  • Narbis End User License Agreement, for software and firmware.
  • The appendix titled "Practitioner Hardware Warranty" to the Narbis Practitioner Terms, for hardware deployed in a professional practice.
